Choose the right connection.

VXD is built around one business phone. Cloud telephony and forwarding serve different needs. Here is the practical difference.

  1. Customer
  2. Your mobile number
  3. Android + AI Link
  4. Online assistant

Keep calls on your connected Android phone. This setup does not require you to configure a separate SIP routing service.

Growing into a bigger phone operation?

A hosted SIP or cloud telephony system may be a better fit for central routing and multiple simultaneous calls. Service availability and charges vary; VXD does not claim to be the cheapest option.

Sources and comparison notes

Setup and capacity: Twilio SIP documentation and Plivo account limits. Hosted integrations can avoid running your own PBX. Forwarding depends on the carrier: Jio describes forwarding as free with an active plan, with destination restrictions. Some cloud forwarding flows bill separate call legs; this is not universal. A few useful answers.

Will it work with my Android phone?

Compatibility depends on the phone and USB audio route. Setup includes permissions, default phone-app selection, and a consenting two-way test on the intended phone before automatic answering. Support for every handset or adapter is not promised.

Does the assistant need internet?

Yes. The phone handles the cellular call while the assistant uses an online AI service. This is not offline AI, and AI usage and carrier-plan charges can apply.

Can I still answer calls myself?

Yes. Ordinary human calling remains available. You choose when the assistant is eligible to answer and can take over a call.

Does VXD record every call?

Recording and transcript retention follow your configured policy. You remain responsible for the notice and consent requirements that apply to your business and callers.

Can I buy AI Link today?

VXD is at the prototype and waitlist stage. The enclosures shown here are design concepts; their switches, lights and connector mechanics are not a manufacturing specification. Pricing, launch timing and compatible-phone details will be announced separately.
